A CrowdStrike executive will testify before a U.S. House of Representatives subcommittee on Sept. 24 about the company’s faulty software update that caused global IT outages.
Adam Meyers, senior vice president of anti-hand operations at CrowdStrike, will testify before the House Homeland Security Committee’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Subcommittee, the committee said Friday. The July 19 incident led to the cancellation of flights worldwide and affected industries around the world, including banks, medical media companies and hotel chains.
