The Treasury Department recommends that the Export Control Joint Unit issue notices to inform exporters of the progress of export control reforms among AUKUS partner countries and provide new export authorizations between AUKUS countries.

The policy of the Isle of Man Government is to maintain the laws relating to the import and export of goods to and from the United Kingdom. The guidelines set by the UK Government in relation to exports and trade controls also apply to the Isle of Man.

Open General License (AUKUS countries)

The Open General License (OGL) will be published on August 16, but will not take effect until September 1. This coincides with the date when the US measures will take effect.

This is a licence that allows the export of dual-use items or military items software or technology to Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as the trade of military items between Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.

In order to be able to use the OGL, UK exporters must be on the AUKUS National Authorised User List. In addition, the export or transfer, or supply and delivery of OGL controlled goods must be to a recipient who is also an authorised user.

An instruction note has been prepared which provides links on how to become an authorized user and how to register and use OGL on SPIRE.
