The Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) organized a “One Week with MNDF – Leadership Development Programme” for the staff of Khedhufushi Regional Hospital (KRU) in Mappila.
The project was conducted by the Ministry of Defence’s Northern Regional Command and the Ministry of Defence Basic School from the 22nd to the 24th of this month.
28 KRU employees participated in the program and completed the training.
The program is conducted through a competitive military-style program designed to recognize leadership and character, identify employee skills and abilities, and strengthen teamwork and relationships.
Skills taught to participants include command tasks, physical training, firefighting, swimming and obstacle courses, as well as improving participants’ leadership, teamwork and good manners.
KRH thanked the Defence Minister and MNDF officials for the opportunity.

KRU CEO Nazima Ali participated as an observer.
Weekend with MNDF – Leadership Development Programme is part of the MNDF military range of actions to improve relations between the civil society and the MNDF and to strengthen civil society cooperation in social work.
