A man has been detained after biting, punching and kicking a store manager who tried to stop him from stealing alcohol.
David William Prescott, also known as Atkinson, 37, of no fixed address, appeared at Douglas Court.
He admitted assault, theft, threatening behaviour and criminal damage at Ellan Vannin Fuels in Peel Road, Douglas on August 17.
The court heard he grabbed a bottle of Apple Sourz and when the manager tried to stop him he punched her and the two men ended up tussling on the ground.
Prescott will be sentenced on October 15.
