Kathmandu, August 12. The Communist Party of Nepal-United Marxist-Leninist Party (CPN-UML) has completed two phases of election campaigning after the last general election-079 and is preparing to launch its third phase plan.
The UML-led government will bring the third phase of the plan for the next election in 2084. A secretariat meeting will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at 1 pm to decide on the third phase of the plan.
Central office secretary Dr Bhishma Adhikari said, “The agenda has been prepared for the central office meeting so that the secretariat can decide on the upcoming plans of the party.” According to him, the 084 general elections will be the target.
After the last elections did not produce the expected results, the UML launched the Mission 084 campaign. The goals of Mission 084 were announced shortly after the first two-month grassroots campaign of the mission ended.
Until last June, the UML launched a special campaign under the “Mission 084” in which local leaders suffered a disastrous defeat and launched a campaign to reorganize the leadership, expand the organization, and purify the party membership.
In the third phase of the campaign, the leaders will be given their own geographical positions. In a meeting held on June 17, the leaders clarified their respective responsibilities. The next secretariat meeting is being prepared to announce the plans of these leaders.
