The chairman of the Office of Fair Trading said trading standards officers had visited every vape shop on the island to explain the law.
Tim Glover MHK, FRCSP, was asked in written questions by Michelle Haywood MHK, FRCSP, Rushen MHK, how the organisation enforces the law.
Mr Glover said staff had visited every shop selling e-cigarettes to explain the latest changes to the law and would do so again this month.
From September 1, it will become illegal to display e-cigarettes in shops.
