The town council decided to charge rent for the land allocated for agriculture from October
The council said the land had been allocated to all applicants and rent would start from October 1.
The town council is currently working on the foundations and protocols for the sites. However, as the boundaries and roads around the stadium have not yet been cleared to accommodate some of the sites, the council has given the farmers until September 15 to complete this work.
The committee also provided an opportunity to submit bids for allotment of land in Vikalladu.
Bidders must register their bids before 10:00 am on September 25. The bidding information conference is scheduled for 10:00 am on September 30. The bidding opening meeting is scheduled for 10:00 am on October 15 at the Council Office.
