Every Muslim wants to have righteous children. The Bible teaches us to pray for righteous children. That is because prayer is the most powerful weapon of a believer. Allah revealed: (َقََِ ََُّكُُ ُْ ُُِй َََِْْْ َكُْ) (Surat al-Ghafir 60) Meaning: “And your Lord revealed:
You humans, please pray to me! I will answer your prayers. “
The following prayer is taken from the Quran and can be used to pray for children.
(My Lord, grant me good offspring. Verily, You are the Hearer of supplications.) Surah 38
Meaning: “My Lord! Grant me a good offspring from Your presence. Verily, You are the Hearer of prayers.
(My Lord, do not leave me alone when You are the best heir) Surah Al-Anbiya 89
Meaning: “My Lord! Do not leave this servant (childless) alone! And You are the best of all heirs.”
(Our Lord, grant us wives and offspring that comfort our eyes, and make us righteous leaders.) Surah Al-Furqan 74
Meaning: “Our Lord! Grant fresh eyes to our wives and children. Make us priests of the righteous!”
(My Lord, make me among the righteous)Surat Al-Saffat 100
It means: “My Lord! Please give me a son of the righteous!”
