On Thursday morning, August 22, CDLS Secretary General, Professor Milena Frulli, and Deputy Secretary General, Gianluigi Giardinieri, met with CISL Secretary General, Luigi Sbarra. The meeting took place during the “Made in Italy and Production Chains” conference organized as part of the 2024 Conference, and was also attended by Federal Secretary Giorgio Graziani, Emilia Romagna Regional Secretary General Filippo Pieri and Romagna Secretary General Francesco Marinelli.
During the meeting, the strong atmosphere of friendship and cooperation between CDLS and CISL was reaffirmed and strengthened. Professor Frulli took this opportunity to formally invite Luigi Sbarra to participate as the guest of honor in the 17th CDLS Confederation Congress, which will be held from October 15 to 17, 2024. Sbarra gladly accepted the invitation and expressed his willingness to participate, in line with your commitment.
Professor Frulli stressed the importance of the 2024 Conference as a valuable opportunity to discuss topical issues in depth. The CDLS delegation participated in several important sessions, including “Policies and Strategies for Changing Jobs”, with the participation of Marina Calderón, Italian Minister of Labor, and “Optimal Conditions for Combining Work, Professional Development, Private Life and Socialization”, chaired by Giorgio Vittadini, President of the Sussidiarietà Foundation. Of particular importance was the session “The Nature of Artificial Intelligence. Tool or Limitation of Freedom?”, with the participation of leading experts such as Fr. Paolo Benanti and Mario Rasetti.
Participation in these events demonstrates CDLS’s commitment to addressing key issues in the future of work and social relations. The union organization continues to pay close attention to current issues and seizes training opportunities to update its mission.
CDLS will continue to work on these issues and has two major events planned for September: on September 12th there will be a conference on “Pensions and Healthcare – The Great Challenge of Defending Benefits and the Future” and on September 17th we will discuss “Artificial Intelligence – Between Risks and Opportunities”.
