Pokhara, July 7. A bus accident occurred near Ainapahara in Tanahunambu Kereni Township II, leaving 16 people seriously injured and they have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment.
Chief district officer Janadan Gautam reported that Nepal Army helicopters twice ferried 16 people to Kathmandu for treatment.
Gautam said that the accident caused the death of 43 people, including the driver, and all of them have been rescued. According to Gautam, it has been confirmed that the accident has caused the death of 14 people, and the rest are in a coma.
“Apart from the patients who were taken to Kathmandu for treatment, 14 people have been declared dead and the condition of the remaining 13 is worrying. We will announce the situation later,” Siddharth Gautam told Habar Online. “The accident has caused huge losses.”
He informed that a total of 16 people were taken to Kathmandu Teaching Hospital for further treatment, including 12 in the first case and four in the last case.
