The Chinese government has asked Chinese citizens in Lebanon to leave the country.

The Chinese Embassy in Beirut issued a statement advising its citizens to “leave Lebanon as soon as possible.”

On Wednesday, Israel launched an attack in Lebanon, killing a senior Palestinian fighter. The embassy said in a statement that the recent escalation of border conflict between Israel and Lebanon has put the security situation in Lebanon in a dangerous and chaotic situation.

China has issued a red alert (extremely dangerous) for travelers from southern Lebanon and the Nabatiye region, and an orange alert (very dangerous) for other areas. Lebanon is currently operating commercial flights and Chinese citizens are advised to take advantage of this opportunity.

Several other governments have also ordered Lebanese citizens to leave the country.

This is due to the growing insecurity and unrest in the region.
