The Austrian men’s national boxing team finished second in the group behind Germany in the European Championship qualifiers in Frauenfeld. After winning the first match against host Switzerland (3:1) on Wednesday, head coach Siegfried Simon’s team lost 1:3 to defending champions Germany on Thursday and then beat Italy 3:0. The quarter-final and possible semi-final against Poland will be held on Friday.
