Most have received their results from their school, with school staff offering advice and support on their next steps.

The provisional results for all Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications are as follows:

  • The overall Level 1 and Level 2 pass rate (IGCSE/GCSE grades A*-G or equivalent) was 98%
  • Level 2 pass rate (IGCSE/GCSE grades A*-C or equivalent) is 73%
  • The highest pass rate (IGCSE/GCSE grades A*-A or equivalent) is 20%

Early indications are that around half of the island’s 16-year-old school leavers will continue in sixth form education, a further 40% will proceed to Manx University College and around 10% will enter employment.

Minister of Education, Sports and Culture Daphne Caine MHK said:

“Congratulations to all students who have received their results today. Whatever the result, be proud of your achievements. I wish you all the best of luck as you decide your next steps. I would also like to thank the school staff and parents for their support.”

Throughout the summer, students will have the opportunity to attend drop-in sessions with qualified career counselors. All details as well as further information and resources can be found at: Road Signs Website.
