Earlier, police said that when the car collided with a motorcycle in the early morning of May 19, there were four people in the car: the 17-year-old boy driving the car, his two underage friends, and the driver hired by the boy’s family.
An investigation into the Porsche accident in Kalyani Nagar has found that besides the underage driver, there were three minors in the car at the time of the accident, which resulted in the death of two young IT professionals.
Previously, the police said that when the sedan collided with a motorcycle in the early morning of May 19, there were four people in the car: the 17-year-old boy driving the car, his two underage friends, and the driver hired by the boy’s family.
But according to the statement of the fourth minor in the complaint, after the accident, a mob dragged them out of the car and started beating them, while he escaped and called an autorickshaw to go home.
An officer also confirmed that the teen’s three underage friends were in the car, one of whom managed to escape.
While the underage driver has been released from the observation home, his parents and seven others have been arrested in connection with the case.
