Kathmandu, August 4. The Nepal Telecommunications Authority revoked the licenses of two Internet service providers. The licenses of the two service providers were automatically cancelled if they failed to apply for renewal within the prescribed period.
The authorities informed that the licenses of the two companies were revoked in the last week of July. The licenses of Parsa T communications Pvt Ltd of Birganj Metropolitan Municipality-8 Parsa and Infocom Pvt Ltd of Hattisar Kathmandu have been revoked.
The terminated Parsa T communications Pvt Ltd was granted the network service provider license on July 22, 2076. Infocom Pvt Ltd was granted the license on June 15, 2065. As per the audited financial statements, the competent authorities have been asked to approach the competent authorities to submit the rural telecom development fund amount and royalty as soon as possible.
Earlier, the licences of seven internet companies were revoked on June 32. Vashishtha Cable Net Pvt Ltd in Morang, Simple Intelligence System and Technology Pvt Ltd and Infonet Technology Pvt Ltd in Jumla, Asia Net Communications Pvt Ltd in Jhapa, Fast Speed Link Network Pvt Ltd in Gulmi, S Net Nepal Pvt Ltd in Dhanusha and Mithila Digital Nepal Pvt Ltd in Kathmandu were revoked.
