The road remains closed as the bomb squad attends the scene

A pedestrian walkway in the south of the island remains closed today due to the discovery of an unexploded ordnance yesterday.

A road was closed between Craignish and Spanish Point yesterday afternoon following the discovery.

Army experts will arrive on the island later to deal with the matter.

The road closure will remain in place until 9 p.m.
