Last night, in Riccione’s Piazzale Ceccarini, football took centre stage in the stories and anecdotes shared by Eraldo Pecci and the journalists Alberto Bortolotti and Gianni Marchesini during an unforgettable evening. The event was part of the cultural programme “Senza Fine”. In “Words and Books under the Moon and Stars of Riccione”, a large audience gathered to listen to curious unpublished stories, including that of Diego Armando Maradona who, in an emblematic episode, improvised the role of an electrician who brought the television to Pecci’s home.
The focus of the evening was Bologna FC, celebrated in the book Bologna 1964 Paradise. Bologna 2024 Champions League tells the story of the club’s glorious past, from its seventh and final Serie A title in 1964 to its recent qualification for the Champions League. The book is a bridge between two eras, highlighting the values and passion that bring together generations of fans and players.
The “Senza Fine” exhibition, organized by the Riccione Municipality in partnership with Block60 and Mondadori Bookstore, will continue on August 23 with Anna Cherubini’s presentation of her book on the disappearance of Emanuela Orlandi. Admission is free and open to all interested parties.
