The triskelion symbol that disappeared from the north of the island is still there – but barely visible.
Over the weekend, northern residents noticed the three-legged sign on North Barul Island was missing.
Douglas City Councilman Frank Schuengel visited the scene and said the stones had been painted gray.
The three-legged sculpture was made by retired builder Bryan Callister in 2019 and was painted white in 2021 due to a planning permission dispute.
