SINGAPORE: A seven-year-old girl died after a collision with a truck at a condominium in Sengkang on Thursday morning (Aug 15).
The Singapore Civil Defence Force and police were alerted to an incident at 23 Fernvale Lane at around 6.20am.

According to a notice sent to residents and seen by CNA, the management of The Topiary said an incident occurred on the estate in the early hours of Thursday. They also advised residents not to speculate on the incident and to respect the privacy of those involved.
One resident told CNA that he noticed many police cars in the neighborhood Thursday morning. He also saw a woman crying, but said he didn’t know what happened until he read news reports about the accident.
According to The Singapore Times and Facebook page Singapore roads accidents.com, the girl was hit by a school bus on the road inside the apartment.
The New Paper also reported that she was a Primary One student.
The girl was taken to Sengkang General Hospital in a coma and eventually died in the hospital, police said.
The driver of the truck, a 67-year-old man, was arrested for careless driving causing death.
The investigation is still ongoing.
