Job opening: Communications Specialist (M/F/Other) – The Voice St. Lucia News

The German Development Cooperation Agency, through the GIZ project “NDC-TEC” in Saint Lucia, is looking for:

Communications Specialist (Male/Female/Other)

Required personal data:

• A degree in Communications/Public Relations, or in a related field such as Climate Change, Energy or Transport, Public Administration or (Climate) Economics,

• Candidates must be citizens of Saint Lucia or be allowed to work legally in the country,

• At least 4 years of professional experience in the field of communications (media and PR work, journalism, internal communications, lobbying or similar),

• Previous experience working in a development agency or government is an advantage.

• Experience in event and project management, stakeholder coordination in a climate or development context; editing experience, experience writing articles and press releases,

• Experience in developing communications strategies

• Experience working in areas related to climate change, sustainable infrastructure (energy, transport) and development is an advantage.

• Fluent English. German and Spanish preferred.

• Excellent organizational, consulting and management skills

• Ability to work in a multicultural team and demonstrate personal independence/initiative,

• Valid driver’s license or willingness to obtain a driver’s license.

Working time limit: November 2024 – December 2026
