A 45-year-old lawyer from Rimini was arrested by the Flying Squad on charges of drug trafficking, violations of sports health protection regulations and anti-doping regulations. During the interrogation by the Rimini investigating judge, the lawyer admitted that he was used to taking drugs due to personal problems, but denied participating in drug trafficking.
The arrest took place in a nightclub in Riccione, where he was found in possession of ecstasy. Police seized a large amount of narcotic drugs at his home, including cannabis, marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy and ketamine, which the man claimed were for personal use. Anabolic and stimulant substances were also found, which the lawyer claimed he had legally purchased for therapeutic purposes. Finally, 22,000 euros in cash were seized.
The investigating judge confirmed the arrest and ordered the lawyer to be placed under house arrest, taking into account his clean criminal record.
