DEFA says plantation catering trucks need to extend operating hours

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture said it hopes catering vans at plantations will be able to remain open for longer.

The department has applied to allow the vans to operate from sunrise to sunset at Conrhenny, Archallagan and Chibbanagh plantations.

When planning permission was granted earlier this year, they included a condition that it could not be open between 6.30pm and 6am.

However, DEFA said it hoped the shops would be able to remain open for longer.
