Douglas to offer beach kayak rentals

A business has received approval from Douglas Council to start renting out kayaks and paddle boards at the capital’s beaches.

Point 65, the parent company of Kayakomat, will lease a rental station on Queens Boulevard.

Kayakomat offers self-service rentals across Europe and is looking to rent out paddleboards and kayaks through a dedicated app.

The council’s regeneration and communities committee agreed to contract the business for three years at £500 plus VAT per year.
