She was born Petya Ivanova on June 26, 1984 in Dobrich. Preslava comes from an ordinary family. The singer’s mother Yanka is a tailor, her father Kolyo is an international driver. She has an older sister – Ivelina, also a singer, but dedicated to folk music.
Preslava’s parents pushed her towards music. At the age of 7, Petya began to sing. Originally, of course, folk songs. From the age of 15, the future star of “Painer” began to sing in bars. She completed her music education at the local school in Dobrich, majoring in folk songs, and she also played gaduka. Even before she finished her studies, she was noticed by Milko Kalaidjiev, who had a keen eye and talent for rough diamonds and was the discoverer of many current popular folk idols. However, Preslava decided to respond to the invitation of the Chalga legend only after she had said and done.
In 2003, she made her debut as a dancer in several clips of Kaledzhiev’s songs, which at that time were absolute number one in the field of pop-folk. Exactly twenty years ago, the current star recorded her first song. She performed a duet with her discoverer Milko and it was called “Gentle Racket”. Then the singer did not use her stage name, but was introduced as Petya.
Many years later, Preslava entered pop-folk with a bang. In April 2005, the song “Devil’s Desire” was released. To this day, this work is considered the hottest hit of the Dobrich performer. After the sensation of this song, Preslava has already occupied the first place of the guild in the starry sky of pop-folk.
The singer remains grateful to her discoverer Milko Kalajjiev.
“She once told me that when she opened her wallet, on the left was not a picture of her sister or her parents, but a picture of me. That way I wouldn’t forget where she started,” Kaledzhiev said.
However, in addition to her voice, the star impressed – her huge and luscious breasts, which were completely natural. In those years, Preslava had an impressive waist – up to 105 cm – which none of her colleagues could boast without silicone.
In 2008, at one of the peaks of her career, the singer made one of the most difficult decisions of her life – to reduce her bust size. Preslava complained that her huge natural features caused her back pain. After the operation in a German clinic, her natural bust size was reduced from 105 cm to 90 cm, a reduction of 15 cm. Thus, Preslava became the first chalga singer to have her natural breasts reduced.
“I had to cut them down. The pain was horrible. They gave me health problems”, Preslava revealed a few years later in a rare interview.
Breast reduction surgery is not the only surgery that the singer has undergone. In 2019, she also had a nose job. However, the effects of the intervention, which left her nose in pieces, did not go over well with her and she was filled with hatred.
“I’ve had corrective surgery twice in my life, and I didn’t hide that from people. I wouldn’t get surgery for anything,” Preslava explained.
The singer doesn’t like to speak in front of the camera. He often refuses to be a guest even on the most popular shows.
As a real Chalga idol, Preslava was always in the spotlight, and there was not one or two relationships that were still talked about for the men she was with. But the most discussed one was the one between Preslava and Georgy Stanoyev – Little Burma. Their love went through storms, and when she was with the young businessman, the Chalgagi woman swore that she had never loved anyone so much.
Their torrid relationship was filled with scandals, separations and reunions. The singer is even said to have dedicated several of her hits to him.
However, the two separated in 2014 after the singer moved out of the house. The reasons for the breakdown of their relationship have never been clear.
Two years ago, unexpectedly, Preslava’s former lover, Little Burma, died at the age of 32. According to unconfirmed reports, Georgy Stanoyev had been suffering from a rare and severe neurological disease for many years.
Preslava finally met love in the face of businessman Pavel Lazarov. Both and the rich man have been together since 2017. Before the pop-folk singer, the rich man had a relationship with the playwright Zlatka Raykova, and he was even married to Maria Tsvetkova.
A year later, Preslava gave their eldest daughter Paula to her beloved. However, the singer and Pavel have not yet married. It turns out that they do not intend to get married or sign a civil contract.
“Pavel and I lived together from day one. We quickly realized that we were for each other”, commented Preslava in an interview, after having another man by her side.
She and Galina are friends now
Preslava and Galena topped the charts of popular songs in our country within one day. Once on January 20, 2004, and again on the 21st.
At the beginning of their careers, the two Chalga icons even had to share a bed.
The two have remained best friends for many years. On Preslava Galena’s birthday, she even met her future husband and the father of her children, Galin.
But at some point, the singers decided to end their relationship. The two stopped talking to each other and even at the “Pena” concerts, they deliberately separated themselves so as not to be one in front of the other, so as not to see each other on stage.
However, since last year, Galina and Preslava have buried their battle axes and have become friends again. “Two or three days ago we celebrated our anniversary with Preslava and we hope to stick with him for at least another 10 years and then we will remember him”, said Galina, referring to the 20 years the two spent together in the elite Chalga in Bulgaria.
