On June 28, 2024, at approximately 2:40 a.m., the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) seized a firearm and ammunition in Mon Repos.
An off-duty officer searched the male suspect and found and seized a loaded firearm with ten rounds of ammunition. The suspect, Jay Collymore, 23, of Over the Bridge, Denali, was arrested for possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The Micood Police Department conducted an investigation, which resulted in Jay Collymore being charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition. He was subsequently transported to the District Court and his bail was set at twenty-five thousand dollars (XCD25,000.00) in the form of cash, proper security or land documents.
