July 19, Fikar (Ilam). One person died in a motorcycle accident in Ilam. Two others were seriously injured.
At 6 pm on Friday, a motorcycle number 48 P 8638 travelling from Jhapa to Mai lost control at the Garuwa Khola bridge connecting Sitli and Namaste Chowk in Sector 2 of Mai.
Dinesh Karki, 26, of Mai Narpalika-10 Ghazeni Bhanjyang, who was riding in the motorcycle accident, died on the spot. Two others were seriously injured, informed Saroj Kumar Yadav, officer of Danabari, Lodhiya police station.
The motorcyclist, identified as Vinod Limbu, 32, of 10 Ghazeni Bhanjyang, Mai, and Roshan Limbu, 16, who was riding behind him, were seriously injured.
Vinod suffered serious injuries on his head and left leg, while Roushan suffered injuries on his left hand and mouth. Yadav informed that both are undergoing treatment at Birta Municipal Hospital in Jhapa Birtamod.
The motorcycle has been seized from Lodhiya police station and necessary investigation has been initiated, police said.
