When did you realize it was the weekend?

Friday afternoon, at the latest on the way home by tram or car.

What music do you listen to on the weekend?

When I drove on Friday, songs were playing on the radio. Yes, actually I still listen to the radio because of the lack of equipment in our Saab station wagon, which now has 300,000 kilometers on it.

Do you have a weekend ritual?

Weekends leave more room for creativity. It is not uncommon to come up with collection and color concepts or new business ideas on the day off. This also applies to the collaboration with Zurich-based illustrator Nina Egli. Together with her, we launched a T-shirt for a cause.

What do you treat yourself to only on the weekends?

Stay in the trainer until dinner.

How much does a great weekend cost?

Oh, it could be a budget shopping weekend or a weekend trip with friends to Berlin or Ibiza, but I try to only fly once a year.

A scent that reminds you of the weekend?

Unfortunately at the moment it smells like campfire. That’s why I’m not a fan of grilling. We live on the edge of the forest and there are many grilling areas. It’s nice, but just the smell. But I prefer the smell of lake water mixed with sunscreen.

What should you absolutely avoid on the weekends?

Insta hotspots, pool starts at 2pm on Sundays, and lots of time in the car inevitably lead to traffic jams.

If you had visitors over the weekend, what would you show them?

The stream bathing area behind our house. Insider tips for a great summer!

What recipe do you most often cook at home on weekends?

When I cook, it’s baked pasta shells filled with ricotta and spinach. My husband is more creative with his cooking and tries more things. He’s the cook in our house.

What’s your favorite drink?

Coffee and until recently Vitamin Well Reload. Now the latter has been removed from the Coop Pronto range near me. Actually, that suits me just fine. I don’t want to buy PET bottles so often anymore.

Which three people would you invite for a weekend getaway? What would you do?

I might invite my best friend and repeat last year’s trip to Berlin. Or go to the mountains with my Sri Lankan friends.

The most relaxing weekend of your life?

As a student, I once worked as a promoter on weekends. I had to talk to people in the pool and take underwater photos with them. It was probably the least relaxing time I’ve ever had to go to a pool.

Do you tip at hotels on your weekend trips?

I rarely go on such trips nowadays because I don’t have the time. If I do go away for a weekend, hotels are not my priority. I am not much of a traveler abroad, preferring to visit friends.

What are your personal movie recommendations for a rainy weekend?

I never liked movies as a kid. Either they scared me too much and made me sad or I didn’t want to come back to reality afterwards. I preferred good old fashioned TV. Especially news and documentaries. And every now and then the show “Kitchen Impossible” on Sunday nights (because of my husband).

What’s the best place to spend a Saturday or Sunday?

At home on the training field, with friends, and in the morning in bed, in the pool or in the snow.

What do you do on Sunday to make Monday’s serve less difficult?

Since I always work a few hours on the weekends and Monday is my home office day, I don’t have a drastic transition. I also find it a great luxury to have a job that doesn’t force me to divide my life into life and work.
