Bratislava has the first city filling station where people can charge their electric cars. There are six charging stations on Landererova Street, each with a capacity of up to 400 kilowatts. This was informed by representatives of Západoslovanská energetika at a press conference on Wednesday.
“This is a filling station designed for customers who don’t have a place to charge their electric car at home or work. The role of this city center is to charge the car as quickly as possible. We currently have six ultra-fast charging points, i.e. parking lots, where customers can get 300 to 400 kW of power,” said Rastislav Žembery, Business Development Manager for Electric Vehicles at ZSE Drive.
He reminded that the current maximum charging power of electric vehicles is 250 to 300 kilowatts, and it takes 18 minutes to fully charge. In the future, as the charging power of new cars continues to increase, the charging time will only take ten minutes.
The electricity price for unregistered customers who pay with a credit card is 0.69 euros per kWh. “If a customer wants to charge more cheaply, he can choose to register and choose one of the programs. If he charges more frequently at public stations, the price can be 0.29 euros per kWh, thus reaching the level of 5 euros per kWh for 100 kilometers, which is more advantageous than a fuel car,” Žembery explained.
The goal of the first city center is to emphasize sustainability and high charging performance for electric vehicles. ZSE emphasizes that the city hub is an important milestone in the field of ecological transportation and infrastructure in Bratislava.
The City Hub project is financed by European funds in partnership with the Ministries of Transport and Economy.
