Zenica 1 Business Park: A new path for new investors

In the Zenica 1 business district, the construction of road number 5 has been completed, including stormwater pipes and public lighting. These works are part of the Zenica 1 Business District Road 5 Construction Project, which is financially supported by the City of Zenica and the Ministry of Economy of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.

A critical step

– The construction of Route 5 is a key step in improving public infrastructure in our business district. The investment provides better access for business entities and lays the foundation for further development and attracting new investors, said Amra Mehmedić, Assistant to the Mayor for Economy, City Real Estate and Development Management.

The total value of the works is 272,604.15 km, of which the City of Zenica provided 122,604.15 km and the ZDK Ministry of Economy subsidized 150,000 km. The newly built road is 254 meters long and is designed for heavy goods vehicles and two-way traffic, significantly improving access to the Zenica 1 business district.

The construction of this road provides an alternative entrance to the Zenica Business District No. 1, which runs from the former Gate No. 3 of the Zenica Steel Plant to the intersection with the previously constructed Road No. 8. The new road significantly improves access conditions for commercial entities in the area and has created the prerequisites for the auction of an additional 2,500 square meter plot.

Currently, the occupancy rate of Zenica 1 Business District has reached 93%, with 140 companies and 1,700 employees. Over the past five years, the City of Zenica has invested 3,500,000 km in infrastructure in Zenica 1 Business District, building 800 meters of new roads, 1,825 meters of waterways and 2,111 meters of sewage treatment facilities, installing video surveillance and transforming public lighting with LED lights.

These projects are key to the further development of the Zenica 1 business district, which is positioned as an important commercial hub in the region and a center for attracting new investments.
