Ukrainian President Zelensky answered questions from domestic and foreign reporters at a press conference held after the “Ukrainian Independence Forum 2024” held in the capital Kiev.
Zelensky said Russia’s offensive on Ukraine’s Kharkiv region was halted as a result of Operation Kursk.
Zelensky said Russia had an invasion plan for Ukraine’s Sumy and Chernihiv regions and informed Russia that these plans had failed.
Regarding the F-16 military aircraft that was recently delivered to the country, Zelensky said: “The F-16 performed very well. With the help of the F-16, we shot down some missiles and drones. In addition, we received the F-16, and I thank our partners for their efforts,” he said.
“The first ballistic missile test was a success. I congratulate our military-industrial complex for this,” Zelensky said, noting that his country’s first domestic ballistic missile test had been successfully conducted.
