Josimar Arias, sports manager of Guanaca Casteca, speaks ahead of his CONCACAF Cup debut.
Arias will referee the match against Sporting Clube Saprissa as Bolivian coach Mauricio Soria does not have a work permit.
ADG will play their first match of the international tournament against the Purple Team at the Ricardo Saprissa Stadium.
“The dream and hope that we all have, I’m talking about this province, about the Nikoyan fans, we want to surprise and qualify for the next round. Therefore, most of the players know the scenario of Ricardo Saprissa.”

Furthermore, Arias distinguished the match against Saprissa a week ago in the national championship from the international duel.
“Obviously the stadium is stronger in Saprissa, that’s no secret to anyone and we know that one of Saprissa’s strengths has always been its stadium and its fans. We were ready for this and we knew we had to give more effort than we did a week ago.
It was a very fast game and I didn’t come for one point, I came for three points, we are very winning people and if you ask me I want to win, obviously I have a four-time champion from Costa Rica, one of the best players in the Central American front, then he deserves all our respect, but we are here to try and take the three points.”
On the other hand, he mentioned the difficulties of the group paired with Saprissa, Comunicaciones from Guatemala, Real Estelí and Managua from Nicaragua.
“It’s very tough, any team that plays against us is difficult, why? Because it’s our first time in this international competition, there are the best champions in the region”
Saprissa will face Guanacasteca this Wednesday (July 31) at the Ricardo Saprissa Stadium in the CONCACAF Cup.
