We are! – The Portuguese Communication Association will re-evaluate the photographs submitted to the competition “Somos Imagens da Lusofonia 2023/24: Every Face, Collective Heritage”, because a computer error “allowed the pre-selection, and subsequent entry into the competition, of photographs that did not meet all the requirements established in the regulations of the fifth edition”, it revealed in a statement.
As a result, the association added that “all results initially published will be rigorously re-evaluated” and “the date of each image will be manually checked to determine whether they fully comply with the competition regulations”, so “photos that do not comply with the established rules will have to be excluded.”
Keep in mind that one of the rules is to submit images taken between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2023 in countries and regions such as Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Macau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Principe, Timor-Leste and Goa, Daman and Diu.
The results will be announced “in due course”. We Are! states that it “reserves the right to re-evaluate the entry criteria and conditions for each edition, which will be clearly stated in the rules and must be strictly adhered to, with the penalty of not being allowed to enter the image”.
