Ambassador Haitham Shuja al-Din, Permanent Representative of Yemen to the IAEA, and Liu Hua, Deputy Director General and Head of the IAEA Technical Cooperation Department, signed the National Framework Programme for 2024-2029. The Framework Programme will work to identify technical cooperation priorities for Yemen to benefit from nuclear technologies in peaceful areas related to human health, especially projects focusing on the treatment of cancer patients, as well as current national plans and future development goals.
