The Chemical Reaction Engineering Symposium will be held in Turku from 16 to 19 June. It is the oldest and most prestigious chemical reaction technology conference in the world.
The event is organized by the Åbo Akademi Technical Chemistry and Reaction Technology Laboratory in Turku. The scientific agenda of the conference covers about 20 lectures, in addition to which there will be nearly 500 smaller presentations and demonstrations.
– This is a world-class scientific event. Globally renowned experts will participate in the event as plenary and keynote speakers. The program includes four plenary lectures and 15 keynote speeches. In addition, we have received about 470 abstracts, which means that there will be 200 oral presentations and about 270 poster presentations at the conference, said Professor of Chemical Engineering, who organized the event. Usually around 400 to 500 people attend the event. In addition to the scientific program, participants can learn about Turku’s culture and environment.
The Chemical Reaction Engineers Symposium is held every two years. The venue rotates between Europe, America and Asia, so the conference is held in Europe every six years.
