A woman’s body was found near Ronay Bay Pier in Eastbourne today.
Police were called just after 10am after a member of the public spotted the body in the water.
We are currently working to identify the woman and get to the bottom of what happened.
She is an elderly woman, Caucasian, with grey hair, and approximately 170cm tall.
“We would like to hear from anyone who knows the identity of this woman or has lost a loved one matching her description,” police said.
