The 2024 Paris Olympics will end today, August 11. Performers from all over the world compete for victory. Here’s how they are received in the French capital.
The Summer Olympics will begin on July 26, 2024 and end on August 11, 2024. Athletes from all over the world will represent their countries and compete for victory.
Romania has 16 athletes who have won medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, including: David Popovic, Andrei Cornea and Marianne Enash, Mihaela Cambe, Ankusa Bodnar and Simona Ratish, Ioanna Frunceanu and Roxana Angel, Janina van Groningen and Ionella Kozmiuk, Anna Barbossu.
All athletes, medal or not, have been tested, either crowned with success or hoping for another chance next time. They have emerged as winners by representing their country in a competition of this magnitude.

However, these top athletes do not have the best conditions. If David Popovich brought up the conditions in which he had trained for years to achieve such results and rightly accused the ministers of providing Romanian athletes with inferior facilities, others also shared the conditions for hosting the world’s top athletes in Paris.
The athletes for the 2024 Paris Olympics are the best in the world. Under what conditions are they being accommodated?
Even before the 2024 Paris Olympics opened, videos began to appear online showing accommodation conditions in the Olympic Village.
Many athletes complained or protested as they slept in the open air after seeing where they would be staying during the Games, while others were amused by the organizers’ choice.
Athletes from New Zealand also posted on TikTok about the rooms they live in. They complained about uncomfortable cardboard beds, mattresses made of recycled plastic, the lack of air conditioning (the temperature in the French capital rose by 30 degrees Celsius), etc.
Some federations have been forced to buy mobile air conditioners so athletes can rest.
“God! They’re made of cardboard. It’s plastic. Medium hardness, medium. How am I on the other side? Tough. We don’t want that,” the athletes said.
So I bought them a hat.
“Those who wanted to install air conditioning thought they were paying too much. We have air conditioning and the room is now 22.4 degrees Celsius. We also have a fan that we use at night because the air conditioning is so noisy,” rugby player Harry McNulty revealed, according to reports Romanian Observer News Network.

Given that rest and training are crucial to an athlete’s success, all of these complaints leave a bitter taste.
Olympic swimming champion Tomas Checo chose to sleep in the open air because of the conditions provided by the organizers.
The Olympic champion appeared to be sleeping on a towel on the grass next to a bench in a Paris park. His sneakers and backpack were placed next to him.
The post was made by Husein Alireza, who is also an Olympic athlete representing Saudi Arabia.
