Lyndon Johnson helps conduct study involving Chinese vegetables
Police arrested Ollie Schuster last Friday and charged her with illegal possession of the drug “Ice” with the intent to sell it to another person when she went to the post office to pick up a package.
Ms. Shuster worked as a security guard at the main government hospital in Fagaru, the Lyndon B. Johnson Tropical Medical Center.
In a statement from the Lyndon Johnson administration, Mr. Stanley T. Jacobs, director of the hospital’s Office of Human Resources, announced the hospital’s ongoing fight against drugs and alcohol.
He said the Lyndon Johnson administration expected all hospital workers to follow those standards as well.
Lyndon Johnson’s administration also said in its statement that their top priority is the health of hospital patients and the public.
However, according to ongoing SU research, Lyndon Johnson has expressed his belief in the seriousness of the allegations and is prepared to cooperate with the sheriff’s office and the attorney general’s office.
The hospital director also stressed this to Dr. Akpsi Ledua asking the hospital to abide by their rules prohibiting drug and alcohol abuse.
The director stressed that the production, sale, distribution, possession or use of alcohol or drugs by any employee is prohibited while on hospital premises or engaging in any activity outside the hospital.
Schuster’s case will continue in district court on Aug. 7, according to hospital records.
There is no evidence to suggest a link between this case and the discovery of the drug Ice in Lyndon Johnson’s mail in May 2018, and the investigation into that matter is continuing.
Two major fires broke out in the city within a week
In the early hours of Monday, July 29, 2024, the church of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nu’uli village burned down.
But in the early hours of Wednesday, July 31, 2024, the building that housed the old Transpac store, across the road from the MHJ pumps, caught fire.
According to an eyewitness who lives near the house where the fire broke out, the fire is believed to have started in the kitchen of MC Restaurant in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Mr Kilisi Boasa explained that when he went to the bus stop next to the petrol station to wait for the bus to go to work that morning, he smelled something burning and saw a fire on the other side of the road.
He said he saw flames coming from the back of the restaurant and starting to spread to the rest of the building. Two fire trucks from Fagatogo arrived and tried to put out the fire, but it spread too quickly.
Boas also said he saw the fire department needed help and there were no water pumps near the house that was on fire, which is why the group fought the fire from the other side of the road, which is next to the gas and water pumps near Shoe Tree and Western Union.
Police were also present that morning to manage traffic.
