Tuesday’s debate session at the University of Copenhagen went far from what organizers had expected.
The event, hosted by the Faculty of Law, will also feature a distinguished guest. Foreign Minister Lars Lok Rasmussen will attend the conference on the situation in Europe in the run-up to the upcoming parliamentary elections.
But at the event, a group of protesters showed up who believed another issue was more important: the conflict between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas.
See Lars Løkke’s interrupted recording:
As a result, protesters interrupted the debate with shouting, which made Lars Rock visibly frustrated.
“This is not going to go anywhere. You come in here and start yelling at me,” he said in a video recorded for the event, continuing:
“The first thing I have to say is that I was invited to talk about Europe. I said I was completely determined that you can’t talk about that without talking about the war in Gaza.
Documents show that activists have been summoned to appear at the debate event along with Lars Locke Rasmussen.

But it was enough for the protesters to engage in another altercation with Locke.
“This is not a war! This is a genocide!” the demonstrators immediately said.
When the event host tried to tell protesters that this was an opportunity for the prime minister to speak, he was also interrupted.
“He has seven months to act – this genocide has been going on for seven months. No dialogue now. Act,” one demonstrator shouted.
Afterwards, the shouting-like discussion continued until the video ended.
According to BT, Lars Løkke was escorted from the hall by police after his event.
However, he was not physically threatened. Instead, he was escorted out as a precautionary measure because the aggressive mood at the event had not changed.
There were signs that the protesters’ presence on Tuesday was no coincidence.
BT has a document showing that a demonstration had been called at the college. According to the document, the demonstration was called by the group Students Against Occupy.
