Wanted, arrested, and imprisoned
Crime and Courts Reporter – A Harare magistrate has sentenced 39-year-old Harare man Nelson Mutsvangwa to five years and three months in jail.
Mutsvangwa was charged with nine counts of illegal entry with aggravated circumstances.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) confirmed the case, saying the accused targeted office premises around Harare’s central business district, breaking into and stealing computers and other accessories.
In an incident on May 20, 2024, Mutsvangwa was caught red-handed by the complainant.
According to court records, the defendant used a duplicate key to gain unauthorized access to the office.
He had taken three Lenovo laptops and tried to leave when he was caught by office staff.
