A man with a machete was walking on Františka Kubu street in Bratislava, brandishing the knife and manipulating it improperly. The police considered this procedure as an act of public order violation. Michal Szeiff, spokesman for the Bratislava Regional Police Department, informed TASR about this.

On Monday, June 10, 2024, an aggressor with a machete threatened Bratislava.
“In this regard, we once again address the public and call on citizens to carefully consider their actions when handling guns or cold weapons in public and not to engage in such acts,” Seif pointed out.
The spokesman said that anyone who carries a cold weapon in a place accessible to the public is guilty of a crime against public order. These are mainly daggers, bayonets and sabers. He added that the same applies to objects that could cause physical harm if it can be concluded from the circumstances of the case or the person’s behavior that the object will be used for violence or the threat of violence.
The police call on citizens who witness any inappropriate behavior or use of weapons by unidentified persons to report the incident to the public by calling 158.
