Attila Ambrus
One of Hungary’s most famous former bank robbers, known to many only as “Viszkis,” opens up about how his past still haunts him in this new chapter of his life. After more than a decade in prison, he has started a new life and now shares his thoughts and experiences.
When you have a background like that, nothing is easy.
In the eyes of many people, I will always feel guilty. ” said Attila Ambrus, who was released from prison in 2012 and has since strived to set a positive example. Attila Ambrus added: “If one out of a hundred people consider the possibility of a decent life, then it is worth appearing in the media.”
Ambrus also talked about the fact that the restart process was not smooth. “Because of my past, I was always subject to special checks when I traveled abroad, especially when I returned from countries outside the European Union. The system sounded an alarm and they would put you aside,” said Attila Ambrus, who has become accustomed to this situation but still finds it unbearable.
Since his release from the penal institution, Attila Ambrus has been working as a ceramic artist and is keen to pass on his knowledge and art to others. In his studio, he proudly showed off his work to the TV2 crew.
“There’s one here that says Firefighter of the Year, and I’m going to turn it so you can’t see it and so you don’t accidentally see who I made it for. This was for a wedding, and unfortunately I have to do it again because it’s torn. I used a new type of clay, but it’s not durable,” he enthuses.
In addition to art, Attila Ambrus is involved in writing, although he himself admits that he does not like holding a pen. “I wrote War and Peace in prison. I didn’t have a computer, everything was written by hand. But now I can barely hold a pen, I even hate my signature, I have to use it so much.”

“My first prize is associated with a very famous modeling agency, where Barbi Palvin started her career and still works for them today. I hope, even if there is no similar success, because Barbi’s story is a very unique case, but I really want to try my luck abroad.”
Revisiting the villa brought about special emotions for the contestants. Lili Jávori shared her experience: “All in all, it was great to be here again, there were no boundaries, we were not bound in that way, and I was finally able to send my mom to the group we were in.
