In the production structure, the largest proportion of manufacturing enterprises is 239.7 trillion soums (18.9 billion U.S. dollars). Mining and quarrying are in second place, with 25.9 trillion soums (2 billion U.S. dollars). Uzbekistan’s electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply is 24.7 trillion soums (1.9 billion U.S. dollars), while water supply, sewage treatment, garbage collection and utilization are 1.7 trillion soums (134.4 million U.S. dollars).
Among the regions of the country, the city of Tashkent has the largest industrial output: 56.2 trillion soums ($4.4 billion). In January-May 2024, the Navoi region accounted for 51.3 trillion soums ($4 billion), and the Tashkent region accounted for 45.3 trillion soums ($3.5 billion).
At the same time, Uzbek enterprises produced industrial products worth 227.8 trillion soums ($17.8 billion) in January-April 2024. This figure increased by 27.2% year-on-year (179 trillion soums, or $14 billion in January-April 2023).
In the production structure, manufacturing enterprises account for the largest proportion, with an output value of 184 trillion soums (14.4 billion USD).
Among all regions of the country, Tashkent had the largest total industrial production: 42.7 trillion soums (US$ 3.34 billion).
