The Ministry of Electric Power pointed out that against the background of abnormal temperatures, due to the reduction in power transmission capacity of overhead and cable transmission lines, some power grid facilities in the capital experienced extremely heavy loads (11:00 to 17:00).
“This situation requires the imposition of short-term temporary restrictions on consumers in the city of Tashkent in order to prevent the development of a systemic accident and prevent abnormal large-scale outages for consumers in the capital. Admittedly, such emergency measures requiring consumers to disconnect power for a short period of time to prevent a large-scale grid failure from reaching the point where it would require a long period of repair are very important, and we ask for their understanding,” the ministry said.
It is worth noting that the energy system currently has a total daytime reserve capacity of 1,300 megawatts. Solar photovoltaic power plants meet about 1,900 MW or 16% of the energy system consumption needs. It can save 590,000 cubic meters of gas per hour.
“It is worth noting that special teams set up in various places are working hard to eliminate accidents that have occurred in some abnormally high temperature industries.
