Baku, Azerbaijan, 1 June. More than 900 Azerbaijani students will study in American higher education institutions in 2023, U.S. Charge d’Affaires to Azerbaijan Hugo Guevara told reporters on the sidelines of the EducationUSA Alumni Meeting held in Baku on June 1.
trend report.

“This is a 25% increase from 2022 and a 62% increase from the end of the pandemic, which is really encouraging for us. This is the highest level in nearly a decade and shows the interest of Azerbaijanis in studying in the United States and the importance they place on the quality of education.

“We have many programs in Azerbaijan through aid agencies. There are ample opportunities for students to continue their education to a higher level in the United States. The United States offers many opportunities,” he said.

Guevara also mentioned that the United States has more than 5,000 universities and colleges in cities and towns, offering a variety of learning opportunities.

“Therefore, I believe that one of the opportunities that the United States offers is quality education in any field, which makes us attractive for Azerbaijani students,” he added.

It is worth noting that the U.S. Embassy in Baku, in cooperation with the American Council of International Education, organizes the EducationUSA Alumni Fair, which provides an excellent opportunity for high school and college students and their parents who are interested in receiving education in the United States.

The fair was attended by representatives from more than 35 American universities and U.S. Embassy exchange programs.
