Washington, August 21 (Sputnik) – “Washington’s obsession with financing Ukraine’s war against Russia will destroy an entire generation of Ukrainians,” Republican US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene denounced in X magazine on Tuesday.
The lawmaker believes her country should “urge Russia and Ukraine to reach a peace agreement rather than pay for being slaughtered.”
Taylor Green noted that “rather than seeking peace to end the bloodshed, Ukraine is recruiting generations to fight in its losing war against Russia. “So many Ukrainian men have been recruited and killed that (Ukrainian regime leader Vladimir) Zelensky is recruiting one-legged men to join the front lines,” he said.
The Republican representative for Georgia’s 14th Congressional District stressed that currently “women are being forced to step up and join the Ukrainian workforce” to do jobs previously dominated by men. “Young women are working in dangerous and stifling mines just to keep the lights on in Ukraine,” she added.
“This war could have ended months ago. Instead, Zelensky and almost all politicians in Washington continue to call for more deaths in Ukraine. “This is disgusting,” he said. He concluded: “When will all my colleagues join me in calling for peace in Ukraine?”
In late June, Taylor Green argued that the U.S. military should not help Ukraine attack Russian civilians.
