Ahmed Massoud, leader of the Taliban’s opposition Afghan National Resistance Organization, said that despite the difficulties, they will defeat the Taliban.
In an interview with CNN, Massoud claimed that more than 200 operations have been carried out against the Taliban since January, and 5,000 troops are currently deployed in 20 provinces in Afghanistan.

However, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller recently emphasized in an interview with Fox News that the United States does not support the armed conflict in Afghanistan.
He added that Afghanistan has been embroiled in war for 44 years.
Earlier, Michael McCaul, Chairman of the U.S. House Foreign Relations Committee, announced on social media X (original Twitter) that he planned to meet with Ahmad Massoud, commander of the Afghan National Resistance Front, on September 10.
