According to the data on the website of the State Statistics Service, Ukraine’s inflation rate accelerated in July to 5.4% on an annual basis (compared to the same month in 2023), after 4.8% in June.
The last time inflation was higher was in the fall of 2023.
Compared to June 2024, the Consumer Price Index for goods and services was unchanged since the beginning of the year and increased by 4.3%.
In the consumer market in July, the price of food and non-alcoholic beverages fell by 0.6%. Vegetables and eggs saw the largest price drops, by 19.6% and 11.4% respectively. Lard and poultry prices also fell.
