Saturday evening, August 3 Ukrainian sabre athletes Beat South Korea in the final of the 2024 Olympic team event. The women’s team brought the country its first gold medal in Paris.

Olga Karan, Yulia Bakastova and Alina Komashchuk received gold medals. This time Elena Kravatskaya turned out to be a reservist.

The meeting included nine duels. After the first round, the Korean fencing team took the lead (15:13). Bacastova played poorly at the beginning of the second quarter and the gap widened to 6 points, but Karan narrowed the score difference to -2. The two sides remained tied after Bacastova’s third game, but Komashchuk lost another point to the Korean team.
