A Ugandan man could face life in prison over the discovery of 24 human skulls which may have been used in ritual sacrifices, police have told the BBC.
Police spokesman Patrick Onyango said the suspect, Ddamulira Godfrey, would be charged under the Prevention and Prohibition of Human Sacrifice Act.
Animal remains and skins were also found at the Godfrey Temple on the outskirts of the capital, Kampala.
Police are still searching Mr Godfrey’s grave in the hope of finding more remains.

“We first charged him under the Prevention and Prohibition of Human Sacrifice Act, which prohibits any person from possessing human organs and instruments of human sacrifice,” Onyango said.
“If found guilty, he faces life imprisonment.”
Mr Godfrey calls himself a traditional healer and herbalist. However, the country’s Traditional Healers Association has distanced itself from him.
This is not the first time something so shocking has been discovered in Uganda in recent weeks.
Last month, police found 17 human skulls at a shrine in the central district of Mpigi, about 41 kilometers (25 miles) from Kampala.
Both discoveries are related to ritual human sacrifice.
People in many African countries believe that amulets made from human body parts will bring them good luck, such as becoming rich, or curse their enemies.
