Tyumen University increasingly attracts students from the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, who successfully use the capabilities of targeted recruitment.

The main feature of the current recruitment campaign is the change in the process of targeted recruitment. The new system has been described as “depersonalized”.

Previously, applicants had to sign a contract in person with the client in advance, but now they study offers and submit applications on the “Work in Russia” website. People from Yamal who want to receive education in the medical field have successfully mastered the new program.

As for the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, despite the changes in the admission procedure, this year’s targeted admissions were very successful for them: more than 70% were completed. In previous years, this figure was about 50-60%, noted Veniamin Glushkov, executive secretary of the TMU Admissions Committee.

This year, 160 students from Yamal entered Tyumen Medical University. Of these, 150 chose higher education courses, and 10 chose secondary vocational courses. The most popular fields are general medicine and pediatrics. Compared to last year, this year the number of students enrolled in the latest programs is almost twice as much as last year.

This year Industrial University of Tyumen also noted a high demand for the fields of “Automation of Technological Processes” and “Information Technology”. Most of the demand for these experts comes from the university’s industrial partners, such as oil and gas companies.
